New Logo Coming Soon!

BEACON House, Inc., started with a simple dream: to bring STEAM education and training to the forefront of educators and residents in Washington County, Maryland, and the surrounding Quad-State area.

In less than a year, we have grown from a one-man show starring BEACON House founder and executive director Anthony Williams to an organization with more than 20 people serving as volunteer advisory board members, the board of directors members, teachers, trainers, and more. Our dedicated volunteers have donated their time, their energy, and their passion to help us realize our shared vision of making STEAM education available to ALL children and to providing educators with the resources they need to make STEAM projects, activities, and learning accessible to their students both in and outside the classroom.

As we rapidly approach our one-year anniversary in January, we will be unveiling a new logo that personifies all that BEACON House has become and all that we hope it will be in the future. The logo will be unveiled at the 2017 STEM Festival at Hagerstown Community College on Saturday, Nov. 4.

Festival attendees who stop by the BEACON House table will get tote bags featuring BEACON House’s new logo–we hope to see you there!

The 2017 STEM Festival, held at HCC’s STEM Building from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., will feature science exhibits, hands-on activities, and competitions for students in K-12. This event is free and is open to the general public. Learn more at
